Coaching is for people who don’t currently have specific mental health concerns they would like to address. Coaching is useful if someone would like support building on their strengths, identifying life goals, learning new wellness skills, or working through creative projects.
The way I practice looks a lot like a guided conversation. We will notice patterns in thought and behavior and connect with your values.
Coaching is usually more solutions focused and goal oriented. We tend to focus on the future, rather than processing past events. Coaching services are usually provided on a short term basis whereas psychotherapy can be ongoing for months or years.
No diagnosis is needed and there are no residency requirements to engage in coaching services. This service cannot be billed to insurance.
